Chapter XVIII

August 21, 2015

William had one week to go before both of his children would be in school
full-time. He was excited, but dreading the moment. He had spent the last eight
years being a stay-at-home father while Emily worked at the courthouse.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and couldn't believe they would both be
in school full time.

He met his sister at the park so the kids could play together. They were sitting on
a bench while their kids ran around the park.

Willow was pregnant with her third child. Her oldest, Danny, and his son Samuel
were best friends. Her second child, a girl named Patricia after his

grandmother, was two. While the boys played, his oldest Sasha kept the two-year-old
occupied.

“I can't believe how big Sasha has gotten,” his sister told him. “Pretty soon
she'll be old enough to babysit my kids.”

“I think she'd be good at it,” William responded. “As long as Sam's not around. He
would hate having her in charge of him.”

“Like I used to with you,” she teased.

“I only did that once or twice,” William responded. “You were always more
responsible than me anyway.”
