“Will, you have nothing to worry about,” she told him.

“I never said I was worried,” he responded.

“Well, that’s good,” she said as she laid her head back on her shoulder. “I’m sorry
I didn’t tell you but there’s no one on the planet that could rip me away from
you.”

“Really?” William asked.

“Of course, I don’t want anyone else and you don’t have a choice,” she informed
him. “I’m afraid that you are stuck with me.”

“Well, there’s no one else I would want to be stuck with,” he told her.

“Like I said,” she teased. “I didn’t give you a choice.”

It took longer than William thought to make it through the line. He regretted not
using the bathroom before but promised himself he wouldn’t mention anything to
prevent any more jokes from Casey.

They walked into the entrance holding hands. Casey had the biggest smile on her
face. The cotton stretched out into spiderwebs did not impress William.

A coffin on the right side of the hallway popped open and a vampire jumped out. The
vampire mistimed the jump and ended up falling onto his face. William tried not to
laugh.

Casey laughed at first but stopped when it took a bit longer for the vampire to get
up.

“Should we help him?” Casey asked.

“I don’t know what the protocol is for these things,” William responded. “I’ve
never been to a haunted house.”

“Maybe he’s just a stupid vampire and thinks he can suck blood from the floor.”

“I am not!” the vampire yelled. “And I’m okay by the way.”
