Someone Talked

While I will never and have never talked about what happened in that room. Someone did.

I know who it was.

There was a video of him meeting with a candidate for the presidency. I saw the video of him whispering into the candidate’s ear.

The possible future president shook his head, smiled and patted the snitch on the back.

I never really paid attention to politics. I mean, I did probably make some Monica Lewinsky jokes in high school if that counts.

But looking back, we all thought there was no way the guy would win. Me, not being much into politics could tell that. There was no chance the guy would even step foot in the White House.

Looking back, I was wrong.

He did win.

And that’s when my life turned into a big pile of garbage.

And this isn’t about politics. It’s not a left versus right thing.

It’s only about my life. Or at least as much of my life that I’m willing to share with you.

And it’s not like my life changed right after the election.

It would take a couple of years.
