The Hand Job

I hoped my mom wouldn’t mind keeping the kids overnight. She was probably going to be pissed when I don’t come pick up the kids.

Then we stopped.

Someone pulled me out of the vehicle. Went through my pockets, grabbed my phone and I heard him drop it on the ground. He may have stomped on it too because I heard a crunch.

Well, at least I won’t have to deal with my mother calling for the time being.

They led me up a flight of stairs. I’ll be honest, climbing up a flight of stairs with a black bag over your head is hard. I’m not sure if you’ve ever had to do it. I did fall twice.

One of my kidnappers laughed at that.

They sat me in a seat and buckled a seatbelt. Pretty sure I was on a plane.

After takeoff, I knew I was definitely on a plane. It was actually my first time on one. I don’t have much to say about it on account of having a black bag over my head that I couldn’t see through.

Once in the air, my captors were a little more talkative. I heard them say President, Washington DC and White House.

“You can take the hood off,” I told them. It was pretty obvious where they were taking me. And if it were the same people who were watching me for weeks on end, they know I got lost on the way to Kroger at least twice. I’d never be able to find my way back home from wherever they were taking me.

“We prefer you with the bag on,” one of my captors responded.

“Great,” I responded.

It was mostly quiet on the flight.

One of them called someone and mentioned that the cow would soon be arriving.
