One Month Later
Change had come to Bibleopolis. Women were now allowed to work. Gay,
lesbian, and transgender people were tolerated. Interracial couples were
no longer banned. There was even going to be an election.
Rory Parker was in jail awaiting trial. A majority of the preachers turned
themselves in. It was being debated whether they should face jail time or
be integrated back into society. No
one knew what happened to the slime-powered preachers. They seemed to
vanish from the city.
Roger had been nominated for president and was currently the front-runner.
Luke suspected his friend was secretly seeing Miss Carriage, whose first
name had been revealed to be Faith.
Everything seemed to be looking up in Bibleopolis.
There was still work to be done for sure. The corporations who turned a
blind eye would probably go unpunished. As would the media companies that
did the same. There wasn’t an easy solution to those, but by working
together the citizens of Bibleopolis hoped to find a better way forward.
Luke and Sock Puppet Jesus were working hard fixing up Father Mason’s old
church, with help from Samantha and Karissa. They hoped to reopen the
church next month. But for now, they had a well-deserved night off.
