“And you look gorgeous. If you were wearing a yellow dress, you’d look just like Belle from Beauty and the Beast,” he told her.

Casey blushed. “Why, Will... You’re calling me a Disney princess? Well, if I’m Belle, then that makes you the Beast.”

“Again, not the worst thing I’ve been called today,” William said. They kissed again.

Their friends arrived twenty minutes late. Manny escorted them in and pointed them toward the back. Abby took the seat between David and Eric, facing William and Casey across the table.

“Sorry we’re late. My parents took so many pictures—twenty with each of them, another twenty with all of us together, and twenty just of me,” Abby said, exasperated. “I told her we didn’t need that many, but she kept insisting.”

“I’m sure all eighty turned out great,” Casey said kindly. “My mom took about forty of me and William.”

William groaned.

“Well,” Casey teased, “when you’re fifty, you’ll look back at those pictures and wonder how you ever landed such a beautiful girlfriend.”

“Actually, I’m already wondering that,” William said. And it was true.

Casey smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.

Manny returned to take the newcomers’ drink orders and then left them to settle in.

“Anyone else have a curfew tonight?” Casey asked.

David and Eric both shook their heads.
